Das „MEZTLI TEPEYOLLOTL“ MONDTANZ RITUAL 2024 findet vom 15.08. bis 21.08. statt.
Wir freuen uns, dass Du den Ruf der Gemeinschaft, des Tanzens, Betens und Unterstützens im Mondlicht in den Bergen der Schweiz hörst.
„Meztli Tepeyollotl“ bedeutet ‚Mondschein im Herzen der Berge‘. Dieser Name steht für die reine Absicht unseres Gebets, unser inneres Licht zu stärken.
Während wir dieses Gebet tanzen, erinnern wir uns an die alte Weisheit des inneren Friedens, damit wir mit mehr Mitgefühl, Einheit und Liebe für alle Beziehungen auf dieser Erde leben können. Gleichzeitig stärken wir unsere Resilienz, lernen unsere Trigger kennen und verbinden uns mit anderen Frauen.
Dieses Ritual wird vom Verein „Mondtanz Schweiz“ durchgeführt.
In diesem Jahr, 2024, findet der 2. vollständige Mondtanz Schweiz unter der Leitung von Melinda Nina Garcia / Xiuh Quetzal und der Obhut von Grossmutter Ana Carmona Itzpapalotl (Leiterin des Mutterkreises „Meztliyoliliztli“ in Costa Rica) statt.

Who is welcome to dance?
Any woman, who feels the call to pray in a circle under the full moon for connection, remambrance & peace inside out.
What are the requirements to dance?
All newcomers shall have a “madrina“, godmother, sister, who has already completed her commitment and danced 4 years.
I don't have enough funds to participate. Is it possible to receive a discount?
Basically, all shall be able to dance, regardless of their financial situation. We believe that this prayer, also involves a healthy relationship with money. There are myriad ways through friends & family or early consistent savings to collect the funds. That itself is a journey on it own.
Nevertheless, if you are a single mother, a family or an elder with meager funds, please write to us and we’ll find ways for you to participate.
I am pregnant, can I come and dance?
Yes, you are super welcome. Together we’ll see how to best take care of you and your needs.
Can I participate just for a few days?
No. This ritual consists of a well-built container of 7 days, including one day tuning in and 1 day integration, supporting the process & the flow.
Can friends & family come to visit and watch?
This year for the first time, it is possible to wittness the sacred ceremony during the 4th. night on August 19.
A special invitation process will be communicated through the participants.
Do I have to commit myself for 4 years when signing up for the Moondance?
No, you do not have to.
This ritual is a path that goes above all through the heart. You may not be sure yet if you are ready to participate in the ritual.
The first year can help you to discover the ritual and to feel if you have a desire to continue on this path of life. Above all, it is a conscious decision that comes from the heart and not from the mind or an obligation.
You also have the option of first registering as a helper in order to discover the ritual and better feel whether this path resonates with you.
From the moment you decide to receive and carry a prayer pipe, you agree to dance in this circle for at least four years. The four years stand for the four elements and a cycle. It is recommended to experience this cycle throughout life. This can mean 4 consecutive years or at your own pace.
I don't have a «Madrina» / big sister. Can I still register?
Yes, of course, if you feel the call, by all means. Then we recommend you to come to the singing circles, Info ZOOM calls or other Moondance events to get to know the circle and experienced dancers.
Can my underage daughter dance?
If your daughter feels the call, we recommend that she joins the support team with your partner or grandparents. In this way she gets to know the space and can register for the coming year if she still wants to. In this way, your daughter returns to a familiar space and can orientate herself more easily.
Basically, we recommend for the first years that you as a woman take the 7 days to be completely for yourself in your process. So you come back to your family inspired and strengthened, instead of continuing to take care of your family during the dance and thus being more on the outside than the inside. Experience has shown that it is a great gift for the men to spend these days in the field with the child/children.
Where do we stay?
We all camp in our own tents.
