ASSOCIATION HISTORY
On April 8, 2020, on the birthday of our revered grandmother Ana Carmona Itzpapalotl, we, Melinda, Olivia, Vanessa and Gurutama, founded the association “Moondance Switzerland” based in Riehen.
This year the 13th moon dance “Danza de la Luna Metzliyoliliztli” took place in Puriscal, Costa Rica under the direction of grandmother Ana Carmona Itzpapalotl.
Melinda Nina Garcia has been dancing in this circle since 2011 and in 2019, after her 9th dance, the strong call to bring the Sacred Ritual to Switzerland. So we decided on 10. January 2020 for the 1st official moon dance meeting for a sweat lodge, bundled the intention, discussed the vision and organized further monthly meetings.
PURPOSE OF THE ASSOCIATION
The aim of the “Moondance Switzerland” association is to publicize, promote and spread the moon dance ceremony and its ideas in Switzerland.
To this end, the association organizes four-day moon dance ceremonies and creates a platform for other activities in which interested people are given the opportunity to connect with themselves, with each other and with Mother Earth. (for example workshops, singing circles, sweat lodge ceremonies and spontaneous meetings)
We have opened an account with the Zürcher Kantonalbank to raise funds for this vision and are grateful for any support.
